Who We Are
Emma, Scheme Manager
I have been Scheme manager since July 2012. Prior to working for Home-Start I taught at West Herts College and worked as an Ofsted Inspector for Early Years. I have always worked with families and young children and am passionate about the difference Home-Start makes to family life. I am married with three children.
I have been part of Home-Start since 2011 when I became a home-visiting volunteer. I then joined the office team as a Coordinator in 2014. I really enjoy visiting families and being part of their journey of change, and witnessing how the time given by our amazing volunteers can make such a difference. My background is in the NHS and then childminding for 7 years. I am Mum to two children.

Gaynore, Group worker
I trained as a Nursery Teacher and worked until I had my children. We then lived abroad for 10 years and only returned to England when my husband’s job brought us back. I then became a Home-Start volunteer whilst teaching part time in Watford. When I left teaching, I became the Home-Start group worker working in conjunction with several Children Centres in groups with extra support for families. I am now involved in running a group for Home-Start families which I find very rewarding.
I am an independent book keeper and joined Home-Start in September 2012.
I am Home-Start’s new Mascot and happy to visit your school, office or business
Come and say hello when you see me!!!
